Happy New Year, Educators! First, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to everyone who was so supportive during my hiatus. I had a lot on my plate with moving, finishing my Masters degree, and learning a new position, so blogging just wasn't an option. I'm back and ready to share now, so I hope you are all ready to journey with me. I'm excited to see what 2016 has to offer all of us.
My first venture into the new year is to create a book club for educators. I saw this idea on another blog, Modern Mrs. Darcy, and thought it was a great idea. I wanted to amend it for our little community of educators so that we can help each other grow as the year progresses.
Introducing, Snarky's Book Bunch. Each month we will have a different category to focus on in order to help us grow personally and professionally. Each category was chosen intentionally to cater to the flow of the school year.

Sharing our various book selections is going to happen in three ways:
Pinterest: A community board has been created to share reading ideas. It is a collaborative board, so if you are following me, I can add you as a collaborator. Just comment below with your e-mail address, mention you'd like to be added to the board, and I'll add you. You can also e-mail me at email@example.com to be added as well.
Tumblr: Ongoing conversation will happen in the #education community of Tumblr using the hashtag #snarkysbookbunch. If you aren't an educator on Tumblr, you should be. Feel free to follow me as well.
Blog: Each month, I will update the blog with suggestions for that month's category. We can discuss book options for the next month and give updates on what we're reading.
I hope you are ready to join Snarky's Book Bunch this year. Comment below with what you'll be reading this month. I can't wait to hear all about it.
Here's to a great 2016!
